As I mentioned in one of my previous articles, there will be an interesting GIS-related event happening in (rather: near) Tokyo this week.
Once a year the Center for Spatial Information Science (CSIS, jap. 空間情報科学研究センター) at Tokyo University (jap. 東京大学) holds a conference about all things GIS and SIS called CSIS Days. It is mainly targeted to the Japanese research community, hence most of the presentations are in Japanese, but it has some very interesting people and topics covered. Please find a list of presentations here.
I’m more than happy to have been invited to present there this year. My presentation slot will be sometime around 11am (JST) on Friday, November 11th. Most presentations will be broadcast live using UStream on the CSIS Days channel. According to CSIS the recorded session videos will also be available afterwards.
A recording of my presentation can be found here: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/18439023 Unfortunately there seems to have been a technical problem with the recording, so both in the beginning and in the end some parts are missing.
